Amazon Addict…

Thirty Six days ago I realized I had a problem. For months I’d been checking my amazon.com page to see sales rank and for any new reviews. Some days I was logging on to it six or seven times a day.

As an addict I’ve learned I need to stay away from all mood altering substances. My rank and reviews were definitely mood altering. A bump in sales or a good review gave me a high of about thirty seconds, while seeing a lower ranking or terrible review would stay with me for hours.

So I realized… STAY OFF OF AMAZON… The only reason to look is for validation, but I never found it… Good or Bad…

My name is Turney and I’m an Amazon addict. I now have 36 days off of it. And it feels GREAT! I still jump on the site when I need to. Just recently I needed to read every first chapter of Stephen King to see how it does it, but I stay far away from my own page. And although I do love bookstores, sometimes it’s just easier to click to buy. My last purchase was The Price of Silence by William D. Cohan.
